Manual quality inspection

All products are individually inspected by hand to ensure that they pass the rigorous Sahtas quality standards. We’re focused on offering the highest quality plain clay roof tiles in the market. Sahtas quality system BSEN 539 test

 

BSEN 539-2 Frost resistance

Test method E of BSEN 539-2 require plain clay tiles to withstand at least 150 freeze/thaw cycles. Sahtas Roof Tiles withstand in excess of 450 freeze thaw cycles with Method D testing and 600 freeze/thaw cycles when tested with Method E.

This translates to a projected life of well over 100 years.

Sahtas quality system BSEN 539 test

 

BSEN 538-2 Flexural strength

Our products are tested in accord with the method BSEN 538: 1994 Clay Roofing Tiles for Discontinuous Laying and comply with BSEN1304: 2005 Clause 4.4.2.

Sahtas quality system BSEN 539 test

 

BSEN 539-1 Impermeability

Sahtas Clay Roof Tiles are tested with test method 2 of BSEN 539-1:2005 and BSEN 1304:2005 and comply with Category 1 in accord with clause 4.4.1.

No drops of water noted throughout the 20 hour time period of the test.
